SIEGES EVEN Cancels Festival Appearances
July 18, 2008Reactivated cult German progressive metallers SIEGES EVEN have have issued the following update:
"We have a sad announcement to make: SIEGES EVEN have to cancel their participation of both Night Of The Prog and Rock Of Ages. Guitar player Markus Steffen is suffering from a serious injury of a sinew of his left hand. All attempts by doctors to get his hand working this week were without success.To avoid this problem becoming chronical, he is not allowed to play guitar for the next weeks. Needless to say, we are very sorry that we cannot play these big shows we were looking for for quite some time. We regret and hope for your understanding!"
The affected shows are as follows:
Jul. 20 - Loreley, GER @ Night of the Prog Festival
Jul. 25 - Rottenburg/Seebronn, GER @ Rock of Ages Festival
SIEGES EVEN will release its first-ever live album, "Playgrounds", at the end of July via InsideOut Music. The CD will contain ten songs from the "A Sense Of Change", "The Art Of Navigating By The Stars" and "Paramount" albums recorded during the first leg of the band's "Paramount" tour 2007-2008.

SIEGES EVEN's latest CD, entitled "Paramount", last year entered the Greek album chart at position No. 46. Released in North America on October 10, 2007 via Inside Out Music, the CD's cover artwork can be seen at this location. The photo was taken by British artist David J. Nightingale, while Thomas Ewerhard was responsible for the actual cover design.
SIEGES EVEN's current lineup consists of Arno Menses (vocals),Oliver Holzwarth (bass),Markus Steffen (guitar) and Alex Holzwarth (drums).
